Cydonia Revixit: Tote Bag and Headdress
As other people out there surely also like having options beyond DIY and the second-hand market, here is a mini post about Cydonia Revixit, a classical indie brand from Canada.
I ordered a tote bag and a headdress, which came with a business card, Japanese apple candy and an extra bow. It all seemed well packaged—but it is not like my box was “stress tested” either, thankfully.
First up: [Nostalgia Series] Laced-up Floral Print Tote Bag: Muguet & Rose.

I picked a different pink ribbon for the top, hoping it would go a little better with my main piece that way…
… but no such luck. There was a lot less leeway there than I had assumed. Although it is very pretty, this print can be a bit of a pain sometimes.
However, the incongruous bow I snipped off plays very well with the bag. Strange, but I can work with that.
Now onto the [Cydonia Revixit × Reverie Romantique] Rocaille Ribbon Lace Headdress.
(Again, we have some care instructions and a fabric swatch. I chose a white metal headband to have an option for lazy days.)
This, too, was a colour gamble. The lace reminded me of another piece, which is a very different hue from the skirt I bought the headdress for.
Nothing clashes terribly though, even when put right next to each other. Phew.
Which means I can pin these removable ribbons onto the skirt for a little pizazz. This also makes me seriously consider replacing the lace on it; while it never bothered me too much, the grey does look somewhat dreary in comparison.

So, all in all, I’m very happy. Some extraneous circumstances delayed the dispatch a bit (and thus, I had to pack a much less fashionable tote bag on ILD); once it had shipped, however, it was quite fast to arrive! Since I expect at least one new main piece for my winter wardrobe this year, I will likely place another order here as well.
